Ideas for Magazine

These are my initial ideas for my magazine cover.
I have looked at different ways to lay out the information of a magazine cover and what would be the most successful.

I created my first idea using Microsoft Word and Paint. I used pictures of characters from the internet and added relating storylines. I followed the generic conventions of a soap opera magazine and carefully considered my target audience when creating the magazine idea. The use of bright colours makes the magazine stand out and would make the audience want to find out more.
For my second idea, I looked at different storylines and storylines that are not so typical within a soap opera. I made the title of my soap opera stand out more so that the audience were able to relate the magazine to the soap. The emotion of the characters are focused upon in this magazine idea through the use of close-ups. This reflects the hard-hitting stroylines which capture the audiences attention.
For my final idea, I have combined and added to my first two ideas. By using bright colours, this attracts the audiences attention immediately. I have been inkeeping with the conventions of a magazine cover and made the magazine all about 'Bealieu Way' which means the audience will be able to recognise the soap.

When it comes to creating my magazine cover, I will relate back to this research in order to help with the design and layout of the magazine and to look at storylines and titles which may work well within my productions.
